The IRS website has a spot dedicated specifically to information relevant to business owners. The site is:  http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/Small-Businesses-&-Self-Employed.  Not just an informational site regarding taxes, here you’ll find information about everything from starting your business to the types of business entities to choose from, as well as numerous educational tools to help as you progress in your business.  
Under the “Starting a Business” link along the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll find a variety of helpful information you may want to consider on topics such as: business taxes, recordkeeping, selecting a business structure, types of retirement plans and a very helpful checklist for starting a business.
