Franchise Tax Amnesty in Arkansas

Companies doing business in Arkansas who are delinquent on their franchise taxes have an amnesty period from Sept 1 – Dec 31, 2013 to catch themselves up. Penalties and interest on up to three years of delinquent payments will be waived if the full tax is paid during this period.
In order to qualify, current year franchise taxes must be paid in addition to the delinquent franchise tax payments. In addition, the company must be revoked as of December 31, 2012 to qualify for the program. The business will be brought current if all taxes are paid including 2013. If the company has taxes due which are older than three years, those will have to be paid as well including penalties and interest for the company to receive current status.
